View Full Version : Meeting Anty!
Just wanted to say, I met Jeanne in Dublin today, had a great time, she is a brilliant woman and a pleasure to be around. First I showed her a pub where the Dubliners used to play, tomorrow we are drinking there! Then I also showed her the Baggott Street Duck, pretty cool. We then went along by Merrion Square and took some shots of old Georgian Doors before going to Kennedys Pub for dinner and of course, I introduced to her Irish Cider, first Apple, then Pear. I think we have a convert here! Then I showed her Windmill Lane, U2's old recording studio and the U2 Wall. Then we went along and took some shots along the river Liffey, the Famine Memorial Statues, The Jeannie Johnsson, tallship, and then the Customs House.
Looking forward to tomorrow. Pix on Saturday!

Awww, thanks for the kind words, Rene. And may I say it was wonderful to finally meet you! I really enjoyed chatting with you in the pub (I felt like a true Dubliner, hanging out in a real pub and drinking that yummy cider) And then seeing Dublin sights I would never have heard of or found on my own was cool. Your knowledge of Irish and Dublin history is phenomenal. I had a great time.
:toast: (<---- Pear cider)
Well more to come tonight, there is nothing more Irish then going to O'Donoghues (the pub the Dubliner's used to play in) and having a pint of Guinness! Also as a novelity, we can make a quick stop in Dublin's smallest pub! 20 people and its full!

This sounds great - continue to have a blast you two! Looking forward to the pictures whenever you get the time.
Stay safe! :goodvibes:
We at the last minute had a change of plan, my friends band were playing a gig tonight, songs include Sunday Bloody Sunday, Beautiful Day, Pride.... thats right... RATTLE & HUM (U2 Tribute Band) Brilliant band actually. We got some shots, not sure how they really turned out, but regardless a good night. Unfortunately all week I have been suffering from sinus and a bad cough, no, not piggy flu, I hope! But I wants in the best of form, but I explained to Jeanne, gives her an excuse to come back!
Pix coming soon!
