It was w-a-a-y-y to cold for this ole Southern boy to venture out this morning. But when I let the dog out the backdoor, the outside light had several icicles 8-12" long hanging down. Grabbed the macro and.........

'Cool'! I like how it looks like a bit of melting is going on on the bottom, plus all the interesting 'bits' within the icicle itself.

It is swimming weather indeed (if you manage to find a crack in the ice to jump right in). Here in Winnipeg we are enjoying an uncharacteristic winter heatwave. Right now it's -2.
Nice shot, btw. How's that D700 working for you, kundalini? You certainly seem to have shutter fever these days :thumbup:
