We're in for it for the next couple of days....rained most of today, tonight, and there is more on the way. Even a rumor of S*N*O*W on Sunday, but we'll see if it happens or not. (It's always a big deal to get snow in Georgia!) But rainy and windy and cold.

So, any thoughts I had of doing much photography have been effectively dashed. :irked: We'll have to see what other trouble I can get myself into.

MissMia will be playing with her new lens....anyone else have photo plans for the weekend?

why not put a camera in a ziplock bag and go out and find a nice puddle of water, or wait until night time with reflective light in the rain.

on the other hand, we do need this rain.

I'm just two states North of you and we're getting the rain now and possible 2-3" of snow tomorrow.

Supposed to hit near 70 today with a few small fluffy clouds. Signs of green sprouting out everywhere. 40 miles up the road, they have 2 feet of snow on the ground. I just have to get the umph up to grab my camera and kick myself out the door.

on the other hand, we do need this rain.I think I'm going to hunker down and pull out the Daylab and mess with the "new" Time Zero film instead. That way both the camera and I stay dry and I will learn how this stuff manipulates. I am already mentally prepared for the muted colors. ;)

And yes, it's hard to wish away rain in Georgia. Anything to get those lake levels up.

Aggie: Sounds like a gorgeous day there in red rock country! Pick a camera and go mosey around.

it will be interesting to hear your "take" on the Blend Time Zero film.

the muted color wasn't the issue for me, it was the way in which it manipulated.

It would be terrific to get some better results.

have fun

Right now, I am resting my index finger - trying to think, it must be at least three years since I did any serious SX-70 work. Or four? I'm trying to find my touch again. Took me several minutes just to locate my burnishing tools and I had a moment of panic.

I'll post my results when I'm certain I'm done messing around. ;) It certainly is a different product. Gosh, I miss Time Zero.

Okay - it IS snowing!

It's been raining hard all morning, mxied with sleet - and has now just changed over to thick, fat wet flakes.

There will be a run on milk and bread in nearby grocery stores any minute. :biglaugh:

this morning when it started i didn't think i would stick , but now it is coming down, faster, and larger and sticking.

i love the snow and when i went out side i was remembed how quite it gets when it is snowing.
I don't remember the last time we had snow in Atlanta, but it has been awhile.

Well, I spent the weekend in Michigan visiting family. Went to a bridal shower. Hung with my SIL. Went to church. Hung with my family. It was sweet!

I did manage to get some pics at my old Jr. High & the Elementary school I went to til they closed it down when I was going into 5th grade. Took pics of the future bride, my sweet little great nephew & the rest of the fam. Ah... it was a good time! :)

Terri.... Then get your tiny butt out this way! It's only a stones throw to Quail Creek resavoir from my house. I just got the directions to some old ancient indian ruins that 99% of the people here don't know about. It's oh so close to my house...and I'm sick of being cooped up. I just need a buddy or one with a hubby named Brad to hike to it with me. Vegas is only about 90 minutes away, and they are having huge sales on air fare to get there. HINT HINT HINT. Dan can drive me down to pick ya'll up.

I promise you faithfully, when we have plans to head to Vegas and red rock country you'll know about it. It's been a few years now and I'm getting twitchy.
